One of my friends diving off the rocks at Torre Pozzella, on the Adriatic coast. He has left the rock but not yet reached the water, and the dive has stopped looking like a plan. His partner watches from the shore, his brother from the sea, both waiting to see how it ends. The old watchtower the place is named after sits on the horizon.
